Sink into a haven of comfort with the Finn Juhl Inspired Lounge Chair No.1 — designed for quiet mornings, long reads, and the kind of relaxation only genuinely well-made furniture can offer.
The Design Story
Inspired by the Lounge Chair No.1 as reimagined by American craftsman Steven Kirby from Finn Juhl's original Scandinavian design language, this chair is built with traditional joinery and a hand-shaped armrest — a detail rarely found in mass-produced furniture today. No two chairs are identical: each carries its own grain pattern, the mark of wood chosen and shaped by hand.
Handcrafted in Bangalore
Every Lounge Chair No.1 is handcrafted in Bangalore by the artisans at GULMOHAR WOOD WORKS, using traditional Danish Modern joinery adapted for Indian hardwoods, and finished with an all-natural oil-wax blend that lets the timber age gracefully — an heirloom in the making, not disposable furniture.
