Mythology: Sam Pearson and Anna Kidel

Founded in 2020, Mythology is a Bristol design and craft studio led by Sam Pearson and Anna Kidel. They develop their work collaboratively, combining sculptural forms with traditional woodworking and expressive hand-carved surfaces. Their practice explores natural materials, texture and the traces of hand making.

Gulmohar Wood Works draws inspiration from this contemporary design approach for custom pieces made in Bangalore. Our versions use solid teak for their wooden components; other materials are specified separately. Original designs remain credited to Mythology. Gulmohar is independent and is not an authorised Mythology manufacturer or importer.

The original Aurora lamp shade is credited to Antonia Claudie. Mythology credits Britannicus Stone as its partner for the Altor tables and Halia mirror.
